Governmental Policy-Making and Decision Making for Geothermal Projects

Although Indonesia has the largest geothermal potential in the world, the utilization of geothermal energy is still relatively small compared to its potential resources. The government has issued various policies to accelerate the development of geothermal energy to be able to achieve the target energy mix that has been determined. But still there are various barriers that make it difficult to achieve the target.

To provide insight on what are the barriers and what to do to overcome this current situation, we offer you to participate in the discussion about policy-and decision making. This workshop suits the government officers or industry practitioners which are involved in policy-and decision making process. We will not only discuss it from a theoretical standpoint, but also learn from various countries by taking into account their natural characteristics. Given the limited time, with comprehensive coverage of the material, the workshop objectives can be achieved effectively, only if it is equipped with interactive material, 2-way learning system in the form of question and answer, case examples and group discussion.
